Holistic homeschool enrichment program 

Wild Moon Farm Coop offers a unique homestead and farm-based homeschool enrichment program designed for families in the Long Island, NY area. Our curriculum fosters a strong sense of community through deep connections with nature, emphasizing nature, homesteading, art, literature, and family to create a rich learning environment. We provide homeschool families the space and time needed to build lasting friendships and community bonds.

Our family-focused approach recognizes parents as vital to their children's education. As such, we ask that parents attend and supervise their children during all classes. We also understand and welcome younger siblings and babies to join in.

Inspired by the rhythms of nature and Waldorf philosophies, Wild Moon Farm has developed a unique seasonal curriculum. Our classes, led with a genuine love for children, nurture their time of being little. We facilitate engaging lessons that allow homeschooling parents to actively observe their children interacting with peers. The topics covered are often centered around the current season, ensuring a relevant and immersive learning experience.

In addition to our regular classes, we host seasonally themed festivals and group outings that further cultivate a sense of community. These events are designed to create collective experiences that extend beyond our weekly classes, promoting unity and celebration within the Wild Moon community.

Our daily schedule will look like this:

Block 1: Seasonal/Nature Themed Lesson & Crafts or Baking/Cooking or Farm tending/gardening or homestead skill

Block 2: Circle & Tea Time: Sharing new discoveries from the previous week or observations of the changing seasons.

Lunch

Block 3:Seasonal/Nature Themed Lesson & Crafts or Baking/Cooking or Farm tending/gardening or homestead skill

Block 4: Mindful movement & breath work to learn better how to ground ourselves and work through the tough times while nature bathing. 

As well as plenty of free play in between everything! 
 
Days run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for children up to age 13. Weather permitting, classes will be held mainly outside among nature and the animals, in the greenhouse, or inside our coop room, which is currently under renovations. We are located on a private micro farm in Islip Terrace.

Pricing:

*   $250/month per child for Wednesdays, starting June 4th, 2025.
*   Drop-in Trial: One discounted day for $45 per child.
*   Single Day Rate (after trial): $75 per day per child.

Please note that we plan to add more days towards the fall, if there is enough need.
